This was the market’s response to the brand-new production format, which put the obvious into practice: one vehicle cannot be identical to another, simply because the requirements of one customer are not identical to those of another.
From this observation there was the creation of “tailor made”, a concept in daily use at Volkswagen Trucks and Buses. It has revolutionized surprised, pleased, generated demanded, increased the lines of products, stimulated new market segments, exceeded customers’ expectations and led the brand to occupy new niches.
The BMB Mode Center, responsible for specific modifications in the trucks and buses of Volkswagen, is located only 150 meters away from the Resende plant. The company takes care of the transformations of the vehicles that cannot be made on the production line, due to the system of continuous assembly or because of a low volume of this type of modification.
